Drag Performances Would Be Considered a "Sexually Oriented Business" Under a New Texas Bill
A new law introduced this week in the Texas House of Representatives seeks to impose additional limitations on public drag performances, but its effects on transgender persons throughout the state are far-reaching.
HB 643 by Republican Rep. Jared Patterson would include any location that distributes alcohol and hosts a "drag performance" within the state's definition of a "sexually oriented enterprise." An individual who "exhibits a gender identity that is different from the performer's gender given at birth utilising dress, makeup, or other physical indicators and sings, lip syncs, dances, or otherwise performs before an audience for amusement" is said to be engaging in a "drag performance."
This is the by definition is drag is thus covered by that proposed law, but it also seems to apply to any trans person who "performs" at a venue with a liquor licence. Such businesses would consent to be labelled as "sexually oriented businesses" and to be governed as such in order to host musical acts, sports teams, theatrical performances, wrestling, or any other type of show featuring a trans person "for an audience of two or more individuals." According to Texas law, there are limitations on that, including a complete ban on attendance by anybody under the age of 18, a violation of which is a Class A misdemeanour, and an additional $5 cost each customer admitted, to be paid quarterly to the state.

World Cup Pride Flag

We have seen a pride flag paraded on the pitch at the world cup, but this was not an organized event.
Mario Falco, who year-old year-old Italian activist wore a Superman shirt with 2 slogans on them “save Ukraine” and “respect for Iranian women”. In his hands was also a pride flag.
The pitch invasion took place in the match between Portugal and Uruguay. This halted play in the 50th Min. Mario was eventually caught by security staff, with the referee removing the flag.
He was later released with no charge.

The final of the competition took place at Sherlocks, Blackpool.
