Hello my name is Dave and Im a 50' something Bear from the heart of England. (a gentle bear never reveals his age lol)
Having deejayed for 27 years, my nick name stuck hence the DJDave for my social handles. unfortunately I gave this up when covid happened. I think it was the right time to give up, but do miss playing my favourite songs and music to audiences.
The extra free time has given me the chance to work on this website and my social media.
Younger Me and Coming Out
Yes that is a picture of me at the age of 23 in a hotel in Ostend Belgium.
I grew up in a rural town and first had sex when was 14 with a 15 year old guy down the road. The next time I had sex was when I was 26 and had moved to a big town.
I had known I was different from a young age at primary school, but living in such a small town I have no one to talk to about being gay, there was no internet, social apps or gay pubs around there.
It was only when I moved to a larger town that I found other gay people that I could talk to and socialise with..
Hence one of the ideas of this site is to help people find other people to talk with and meet.

I came out to friends from the age of 26, but it was a while later that I came out to my family in 2012.
Body Positive
I am now happy with my body hair, when I was younger, the roll models in magazines, TV and porn were all smooth. So I would wax my chest, shave and use chemical depilator products.
Now through seeing other bears, otters and groups I have the confidence to be body positive. and show my fur. I hope other people read this article and don't go through the same experience.
Weight wise I am loosing my belly for health reasons. Sorry if you liked the chubbier me. I enjoyed my belly too, and the chocolates that helped build it.

No. I am happily married to Chris (see the pic) We met in 2005 and got civil partnership in 2012. we still like meeting people, its one of the best ways of making friends.
We also love traveling, so expect to see us in you home city soon lol.
